| ABOUT HWC - AAWCC/HWC Spring 2008 Scholarship Information |
The Harold Washington College chapter of the American Association for Women in
Community Colleges (AAWCC) is offering two $500 scholarships to HWC students based on the
following academic status:
- 1 for a current full-time student at HWC (12 or more credit hours)
- 1 for a full-time staff member attending HWC or a 4-year university
Qualification for this scholarship is based on the following criteria:
- Applicant must be female.
- Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.*
- Applicant must have completed at least 30 cumulative credit hours.*
*(Note: If you are a full-time staff member attending an institution other than HWC, please
submit an unofficial transcript or proof of current GPA and cumulative credit hours.)
- Applicant must complete the attached application and submit a typed, double-spaced, 400-500
word essay using Standard English. (Note: Must use Times New Roman and 12pt. font.)

| Winners will be notified by email and/or phone. |
| Scholarships will be presented at the Annual Women’s Award Luncheon to be held
on Friday, March 28, 2008, 12:00pm.

| Applications can be obtained and submitted in the Applied Science Department, Room
712. You may also download/view a copy of the application by clicking the scholarship
